American rapper and songwriter Megan Thee Stallion is known for going hard on bold visuals and provocative choreography, and this captivating promo for her new track Whenever is no exception.
Pulse Films director Zac Dov Wiesel brings his signature style to the mesmerising film, which sees Stallion crashing a lowrider into an office waiting room, before descending into a fever dream of pool cue barre dancing, chess piece riding, scuba diving, clocks melting and fish people.
The film notably references Surrealist artist Salvador Dali’s painting The Persistence of Memory, which pictures melting pocket watches against an arid desert – imagery which repeats throughout the music video.
