With Tour de France just around the corner, this fun spot from Danish TV channel TV 2, directed by Peter Harton through Klub Moderne, shows us why it’s probably best to catch the annual men's multiple-stage bicycle race from your sofa.
Tapping into the sometimes-absurd lengths people go to in order to catch just a few seconds' glimpse of the event, the film follows four characters who sets out on the ultimate summer road trip – only to face roadworks, bad gas station sushi, donkey kicks and a hornet to the face in the Alps.
It’s a warm, self-deprecating take on fandom, misguided effort, and the quiet truth that the Tour de France might be best enjoyed from in front of the telly after all.
