Marking the second International Day of Play (11th June), children’s organisation UNICEF has launched this sweet film in collaboration with Southpaw, this year spotlighting an urgent but under-reported crisis - the global play deficit.
The hero film pairs ordinary user generated content of real families playing together, with the soaring sound of the world’s most iconic sports commentaries, turning fleeting family moments into celebratory highlights of childhood.
Although simple in its execution, the initiative cleverly captures a touching message; that to a child, even small moments of play with a parent can feel like the best game in the world.
