Directed by Ariel Costa through Final Frontier, this thoughtfully animated film pays homage to a monumental moment in the German car brand’s history.

In 1952, Porsche took two cars, a cabriolet and a coupé, to Mexico to take part in an immense race, the Carrera Panamericana. Despite doubts, Porsche managed to complete the race, marking a milestone in both history and the brand's relationship with the region, but few remember the achievement today.

As the seventieth anniversary approached, Porsche commissioned The Community to create One Icon Leads to Another, told through the words of mechanic Herbert Linge, who helped them cross the finish line.

The film features a montage of collage-inspired, animated scenes that include real black and white photographs, telling the inspirational story based on Linge's memories.

The company have also created a new car inspired by the model from 1952 as part of the campaign, with the proceeds from its sale at auction being donated to charity.
