Herconomy, the Nigerian women-focussed bank, has launched this uplifting campaign announcing a first-of-its-kind financial product designed to turn breastfeeding into savings
At the heart of the initiative, developed in collaboration with creative agency Serviceplan, is this beautifully shot and poetic short film, directed by Fariba Buchheim through We Make Them Wonder, which sensitively captures the love, anxiety and judgment a new mother experiences as she tries to make the best decisions for her infant.
The campaign centres around the fact that Nigerian mothers who rely on formula spend over 30% of their household income on it – money that could instead be invested in their future. Its aim is to support women in their choice to breastfeed and to help them gain financial independence, by earning interest on money not spent on buying formula.
