Directed by Jonny & Will through BLINKINK, this fun new spot is the first broadcast work created by The&Partnership for stir-in sauce brand Dolmio, since the agency was appointed as the global creative agency for Mars Food & Nutrition.
Brought to life by two new pasta-inspired brand characters, the film, titled Yeah, celebrates the fact that many home cooks have their own happily inauthentic take on classic Italian dishes.
The characters appear at a critical moment in the protagonist’s cooking process to personify the voices in his head - one worrying that paprika doesn’t traditionally go in bolognese, and the other assuring him it’ll taste great.
Nick Moss and Dan Northcote-Smith, Creative Directors at The&Partnership add: “Everyone has seen the Italian guy losing his mind on Tiktok about how Brits cook Italian food. Well, Dolmio-Yeah is the new platform encouraging us Brits to do it even more. Sorry Italian TikTok guy. The question was, how do you turn this insight into a long-term creative platform? Meet our little pasta mates, Yeah and Nahh.”
