When it comes to selling cars, it’s usually all about slick, stylish ads selling sexy design, luxury, and status. So how do you market a vehicle that looks more like a children's toy than a trophy?
You do the exact opposite – as BETC and Soldats director Torben Kjelstrup have demonstrated in this infectiously fun spot, Wanna Play, for Citroen’s quirky little electric vehicle, the Ami.
The film follows a woman driving through a busy city in her Ami, when the usual inconveniences of traffic and stressed-out drivers disappear into kaleidoscopic puffs of confetti. Perfectly paired with an upbeat soundtrack, the city transforms into her own magical playground as she makes her way to the coast.
