Helmed by award-winning director Leve Kuhl, through UPPERFAST, this hard-to-watch spot for the UNHCR was released yesterday to coincide with Human Rights Day.
Titled Through My Eyes it aims to drive empathy for the world’s 123 million displaced individuals and raise awareness of the need to protect their rights.
“Safety is something we all deserve, yet for so many it's decided by nothing more than the place they were born,” explains the director. “This film aims to portray refugees not as statistics but rather as individuals with hopes, resilience and talents that can enrich our communities. And while we may never fully understand someone else's experience perhaps the first step is trying to see the world through their eyes.”
