Directed by Domas Petronis, through Some Films, this spot for Telia Lithuania sensitively portrays the experience of a boy on the autism spectrum during the holiday season.
1 in 100 people has autism spectrum disorder and Christmas can be daunting for these individuals: their usual daily routines change, and various sensory triggers arise, such as bright and flashing lights, extra noise, unexpected guests and general hullaballoo.
With compelling cinematography from Vytautas Plukas and music and sound from Simas Okas, the film hints at the interior world of the boy.
The story follows his perceptive little sister's understanding of her brother's discomfort and plans to create a surprising haven for him, landing the message that Christmas can be celebrated in a variety of ways.
