Inclusivity has been a major buzzword for corporations like the BBC of late, and rarely is it shown as impressively (and authentically) as in this vibrant montage for the channel's football offerings.
Covering the return of the Premier League, Championship, and non-league football, and the new WSL season, BBC Creative's minute-long spot sees a variety of film stocks interwoven with material from the BBC archive; showcasing the passion, creativity and resilience of British fandom and ascertaining that This Game Belongs To All Of Us.
Directed by Lisette Donkersloot through Caviar, the film is filled with cultural Easter Eggs and collaborations with artists and photographers, incorporating portraits of fans taken by Hy Money, the first female football photographer, as well as photography from Michael Kirkham, appearances from textile artists Diana Al Shammari and Jacqui McAssey, and a flag created in collaboration with artist Corbin Shaw.
