Women’s supplement brand Ritual has teamed up with agency Giant Spoon to launch this funny campaign, highlighting how research into female health is largely under-research and strangely male-dominated.
The film, directed by Sophia Ray through Academy and starring Jackie Tohn (Nobody Wants This), introduces The Women's Health Men's Choir; a male quartet who materialise in perfect four-part harmony to mansplain a woman's own body back to her, meeting real medical symptoms with dismissive solutions.
The men aren't the villains; a culture of answering women's real medical experiences with a choir of male voices offering baseless solutions is. By making those voices visual, musical, and absurd, the campaign makes its real point: women don't need another choir of men explaining their bodies to them.
