BICEP keeps the night alive

Northern Irish electronic DJ duo BICEP makes their return with this electrifying and atmospheric three-part music video (Lemonder, Viper and Air) directed by Ryan Doubiago through CANADA.   

Filmed across a single 24-hour period in the English countryside, the creative is a raw and ecstatic celebration of the energy and grassroots resilience of the UK’s free party, rave, and sound system culture.  

Realised through dynamic camera movements, slow motion shots and freeze-framed tableaus, the trilogy follows a real UK rave from setup to sunrise, with each segment using different visual effects and in-camera techniques to capture the changing energy as it moves through the night, from the excitement of the arrival to the raw ecstasy of a rave in full flow, and ending on a mellow wind-down before dawn in a combination of still photography and ambient visuals. 

"Club culture is being pushed further to the margins," says director Ryan Doubiago. "Amid the recent resurgence of the free party movement, and the subsequent police response, we partnered with a young collective to document their process, asking them to explain their ethos, and the obstacles shaping the scene today."
