Directed by Ethan & Tom through Partizan for NOWNESS in collaboration with V&A East, this vibrant and soulful film uncovers the emotions and memories tied to people’s most treasured possessions.
Traversing the eclectic streets of East London, the film, titled Keepsakes, captures a range of cherished items, each one revealing a glimpse into the life and family history of its owner. Frenetic camerawork, fun editing and a bold directing style reflect the city's energy and its richly varied communities, weaving together a tapestry of personal stories from all walks of life.
The film was entirely through the generosity of Partizan's partners, crew, and people of East London, raising money for East London Charities St John Hospice, Bow Food Bank, Rainbow Migration, Palestine Solidarity UK, and Sistah Space, with all proceeds from the screening ticket sales going to Hackney Night Shelter.
