NeoConnessi is a digital and media education project from Italian telecommunications company WindTre which focusses on promoting responsible internet use among children and families, has released this new campaign which embraces the past in a cinematic style, while also telling us about the present.
The film explores an alternative universe where technology has always been an integral part of everyday life and not just a modern phenomenon. The 75-second spot is a leisurely journey through iconic decades of Italian culture and the film touches on famous Italian cultural moments such as references to Italian Neorealismo, the beauty of classic black-and-white cinema, and authentic references to the music of the 1990s and early 2000s.
The film, created by Augmented Creativity Milan and directed by Claudio Cupellini through Alto Verbano, invites viewers to reflect on contemporary digital relationships and also highlights the unique challenges faced by today’s parents who must guide their children in a technology-driven world without having had similar guidance in their own childhood.
