Michael Jordan is a name everyone knows. He was one of basketball's most famous and successful players, and remains a titan of the game, long after his retirement.

His eponymous shoe is probably just as famous as he is, but the fame of both player and footwear wasn't always the case. What helped propel both to public consciousness was a 1985 tour of Europe during which, in a match in Trieste, the 22-year-old Jordan dominated the game and, with one gravity-defying dunk, smashed the backboard.

In this new, brilliantly creative spot, created by Doubleday & Cartwright Brooklyn, directed by Zackary Canepari through Elsewhere Films and edited at Final Cut New York, that game is brought to life in the medium of puppetry as we witness the birth of a sporting superstar and the beginning of Michael Jordan's dominance.
