Perhaps misleadingly titled IT WILL MAKE SENSE, this bizarre film directed by Soldats’ Benoit Marzouvanlian for Mob Links does exactly the opposite, but the ambiguity is part of its charm.
The film unfolds like a dream recounted by a young boy who imagines a world in which anything is possible. For what it lacks in linear storytelling, it more than makes up for with mesmerising, kaleidoscopic visuals and meticulous production design.
As dreams tend to do, the journey veers into strange and unexpected territory, moving through gorgeously animated landscapes before landing, improbably, in a Mob Links store, complete with a cooky shopkeeper and a cantankerous Billy Bass fish.
