In case you don’t, directing duo Lamar + Nik have immortalised it in this brilliant, slow-burning satirical comedy, bringing the events of that day back to life in full – and perhaps mildly over-exaggerated – dramatic detail.
Heightened by perfect comedic timing and wonderfully funny performances, the film builds up to an almost unbearable level of tension as the actor aggressively punches a threatening memo onto his typewriter while his generous assistants obliviously plan him an ill-fated birthday surprise.
