We've all had some pretty desperate moments at house parties, but, unless you've been experimenting with something mind-altering, it's unlikely you've encountered Desperados moments.
Acting as an anthem for the beer brand's new campaign from WE ARE Pi, Pour Some Unusual On Your Usual encourages people to step out of their comfort zone to try new things by focusing on a nosy neighbour who twists the narrative by asking her neighbours to turn up the music at their shindig.
Directed by former creative and Drool founder Freddie Powell and shot in South Africa, the spot's eccentric visuals - including from runway-esque oversized coats, virtual avatars, and paintings that come alive - are backed by Edith Piaf’s Non, je ne regrette rien; an audio interpretation of the behaviour on display.
Chock full of ideas and witty visual gags, Powell's entertaining filmmaking style lifts what could have been a fairly pedestrian spot to the ultimate party for the eyes.
