This new campaign from German agency Scholz & Friends Berlin takes a comedic look at some serious issues.

While Europe experiences some of the hottest weather on record one prescient spot, with a distinctly Baywatchian theme, examines the potential dangers of over-exposure to the sun, while another uses toilet humour to draw attention to suspicious-looking moles. Both spots were directed by Camila Zapiola through Cobblestone Films

A coordinated social media campaign on 'Sun Protection Day' created more awareness for the topic, with suspicious spots (melanoma) appearing on the logos of the AOK Instagram accounts. These triggered users to tap the logo and open the story with information on protecting against skin cancer.

“The summer spots are part of our orchestrated skin cancer campaign," said Stefan Wegner, Partner and Managing Director of Scholz & Friends Berlin. "We carry out further educational work via PR and social media. In this way, we are modernising the brand image of the AOK and at the same time using its high level of competence to sensitise people to this important topic.”
