This new spot for the British charity Combat Stress, which provides clinical treatment and support for veterans from the British Armed Forces, is a short but powerful reminder that some battles are still fought long after the war has ended.
Created in-house by the client and directed by Karen Cunningham through Pink Film Company, the 40-second spot features an obviously agitated man sat at the kitchen table. All the while normal household noises can be heard around him - the cycle of a washing machine, the running of a tap, the boiling of a kettle - noises which agitate him further.
The voice over tells us that "Tom's never been to the Middle East. Never seen military service. Yet he's a victim of the Iraq war". But, then it's revealed that Tom isn't who we think he is.
