What's the key to a successful business? Clear goals? Steady growth? An office dog?!
Well, according to the grossly misogynistic protagonist of Zijkant's new film, Show Women The Respect They Deserve, the secret is employing women... because you don't have to pay them as much.
Created by mortierbrigade to coincide with Employee Day in Belgium, the film, directed by Lionel Goldstein through Czar, introduces us to Jef; a self-proclaimed 'feminist' boss whose behaviour would have even David Brent questioning its approprietness.
"By using irony, we want to highlight that wage inequality and sexist stereotypes are still very much present in the workplace," explains Julie Van Garsse, director, ZIJkant. "What better moment to do that than on 'Secretary’s Day,' recently renamed 'Employee Day'?
"We chose this date to emphasise that it’s not just about gender equality, but about respect and recognition for every individual’s work."
