Be it a kid gifting a bauble, a teen bonding with her Grandmother or a lass palling up with a man banished to the moon for unknown reasons, there's something about cross-generational bonding that just screams Christmas.
However, 2020 has been a bit of a different year when it comes to close-contact, so for their unashamedly heartwarming festive ad, Kohl's have taken the Covid-trope of signs in windows and made a sparkling story of connection out of it.
Backed by Willie Nelson's tear-duct tugging rendition of Kermit's ballad The Rainbow Connection, the charming Give With All Your Heart from YARD NYC and Central Films' director Rodrigo Garcia Saiz embraces mawkishness and makes it moving.
