In this hard-hitting initiative developed by Toronto-based independent agency Diamond, Canadian Blood flips the script to show how patients aren't the only ones saved by blood donations.

Sensitively directed by James Michael Chiang through Scouts Honour, the film, I Am Here to Save You, spotlights a variety of patients in need of transfusions, but instead of being a plea for help, they acknowledge how giving blood can be a deeply affecting and meaningful act for the donor, giving them a new sense of purpose in life.

“The goal was to build an enduring emotional connection to turn occasional donors into lifelong ones,” says Lori Davison, Chief Strategy Officer at Diamond. “When we listened to regular donors, what stood out was the meaning it held for them personally. They derive a true sense of purpose and connection from donating blood.
