A beautiful summer holiday doesn’t sound like something you'd need rescuing from - unless you’re a fan of Spanish football team Real Betis Balompié, and you’re suffering severe FOMO at the thought of missing the first home game of the season.
That's the premise for this oddly comic spot from DUDE London for ticket booking app Trainline which has launched a competition to orchestrate a rescue mission, saving the die-hard Real Betis fans from their idyllic vacations and transporting them to their real dream destination: a packed stadium.
The spot, which features a Real Betis fan trying to put on a brave face, but whose facade is ultimately seen through by the piercing eyes of... a dead prawn, is directed by Marco Santi through Be Sweet Films.
“We’ve all been there… stuck on day four of a family holiday when your team needs you the most," said Alex Prew, creative at DUDE. "I was in France for the Women’s Euro final and I’m still not over it. We cast the most judgmental prawn in Spain to torment a Betico about his match day FOMO, and encourage fans to ditch their holidays for something so much better.”
