The Yeah Yeah Yeahs release Hidden in Pieces
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs release the 22-minute concert film, directed by Barnaby Clay.
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs concert film Hidden in Pieces is now available to stream on the Criterion Channel.
Commemorating the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ 25th anniversary tour of the same name, the 22-minute film was directed by award-winning filmmaker Barnaby Clay, produced by Lana Kim and Jett Steiger via production company Ways & Means, and made in partnership with Dropbox. It is a companion piece to the album Hidden in Pieces Live at the Royal Albert Hall, streaming now, with the physical editions set for release on October 23, 2026.
“I wanted to create a film that not only captured the live performance but also felt close to the spirit of what the band was going for with their shows; something delicate and dream-like, like a precious memory, timeless, emotionally charged and shrouded in mystery,” says Clay of the black-and-white film shot at the legendary Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles at the end of their tour. Clay’s previous credits include the Mick Rock documentary Shot! and the horror film The Seeding.
“Barnaby Clay has made a stunning film of the live performance that takes you there in the moment with us in the most heavenly way,” says Karen O, frontwoman of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
