Directing through LOBO, VFX master Seb Caudron has crafted an entrancing CG animated film that follows the hypnotic cavortings of cosmic robot/human hybrids.
Including AI generated elements for the backgrounds, Caudron’s aim was to capture the process of an artist conceiving a piece of music.
He explains: “the visual concept of cosmic exploration and space travel emerged naturally, serving as the perfect metaphor for the creative voyage. At the same time, I wanted to infuse the film with a vintage, retro aesthetic—one that echoes the textured and tactile quality of the track. Assembling these disparate yet interconnected sequences was a meticulous and lengthy process, one that sought to transport the audience into a chaotic yet undeniably beautiful journey through the heart of artistic creation.”
Despite the fact that, for reasons that aren’t altogether clear, part of the journey appears to involve a foray into one of the figure’s lower body orifices, it is a beautifully trippy trip of a film.
