You might not think of pro-gamers as energetic athletes, but this new spot from Nike, the first from the brand to cover the massive Esports, might just change your mind.
Set in a special gamer training facility where LPL (League of Legends Pro League) legend UZI and his workout guru NXT push gamers to reach their full-potential, Camp Next Level uses hyperkinetic camera moves and some snazzy VFX from MPC to present a series of increasingly crazy workout.
“Our goal is to inspire gamers with a non-stop entertaining film," said Wieden+Kennedy Shanghai creative director Jeff Fang. "We don’t want to preach. And most people don’t like to be told ‘go work out.’ But gamers are incredibly competitive. Top players put in 16 hour days, six days a week – which can take a massive toll on their body. We believe strengthening their bodies and minds can help take their game to the next level.”
Showcasing the gamer community in the same manner as it does other sports, this crackling spot, from The Loft Films director Adam Lau, fizzes with energy whilst entertaining. Game on!
