Is the term 'one-trick pony' offensive to the more diminutive members of the equine community? Well, according to the Rebecca Black-voiced protagonist of e.l.f. Cosmetic's hilarious new campaign, it's quite a hefty slur.
Created by Mischief @ No Fixed Address and shot by Hungry Man's Dan Opsal, Many Trick Pony sees a war of words break out between Black (a genius casting due to her musical track record) and the brand promoting its Halo Glow Liquid Filter.
But it didn't stop there! Things escalated when e.l.f. followed up by claiming Halo Glow couldn’t be 'pigeon-holed', sparking a mock revolt from the pigeon community. Led by Pam the Pigeon, the backlash included the launch of pigeonsagainstelf.com and bird-sized protest signs on pavements.
After several days of satirical protest, e.l.f. responded, bringing the surreal saga (pony tale?) to a close.
