Well, according to adidas in its barnstorming new campaign, the GOATs are actually three Backyard Legends - a cheeky trio seemingly capable of taking down all comers.
The brand's five-minute blockbuster, from 180 LA, pulls in three of football’s brightest current stars - Jude Bellingham, Lamine Yamal and Trinity Rodman - to face off against a series of legendary opponents. Featuring Timothée Chalamet, channelling his Marty Supreme manic energy, this isn't your normal three-a-side; the trio see off digitally de-aged versions of David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane and Alessandro Del Piero, much to the disbelief of fellow players Ousmane Dembélé, Raphinha, Pedri, Florian Wirtz and Santiago Giménez.
Utilising SMUGGLER narrative-master Mark Molloy's ever-reliable storytelling, and even managing to pull in extra cameos from Bad Bunny and Lionel Messi, this high-scoring, showboating effort feels like the perfect kick-off to the upcoming World Cup fever.
