Director Alex Takács helms this mesmerising music video through ProdCo for UK producer Leon Vynehall’s track, Cruel Love.
The film opens in a drab and dilapidated building, where Vynehall places a dissolving golden tab onto his eyeball. An entrancing, looping sequence of dark hallucinations ensues, from crab-infested sand dunes and shadowy figures to battles with doppelgängers.
A visually captivating fever dream that dives into themes of memories, identity and the subconcious mind, Takács taps into a dystopian, sci-fi-esque aesthetic with the help of cinematographer and longtime collaborator, Dustin Lane.
