Leo US has named Cristina Reina as Chief Experience Officer, a newly created role designed to unify and elevate the agency’s creative and consumer experience offering across its New York and Chicago offices.
Reina joins from her role as Partner and Chief Creative Officer at Quality Experience, and brings deep experience from leadership positions at McCann New York, where she served as EVP, Global Executive Creative Director and Head of Art North America, and nearly a decade at DDB in both New York and Madrid.
“Cristina embodies the human creativity that defines Leo,” said Marco Venturelli, Co-President and Chief Creative Officer of Leo. “Her perspective is the consumer’s, from advertising to commerce to platforms, which makes her invaluable to our creative community. Her meticulous attention to understanding all formats and impeccable design aesthetic define modern creativity.”
Widely recognised as one of the industry’s top creative talents, Reina was named in both the Cannes Lions Top Talent Report and Adweek Creative 100, and is behind award-winning campaigns including Microsoft’s ADLaM project, which won two Cannes Lions Grand Prix and was recogniSed by Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas.
“Leo represents a bold vision for what a modern creative agency should be, one that seeks to disrupt norms by leaning into our humanity,” said Reina. “I’m so looking forward to working with the incredible talent at Leo.”
Reporting to Venturelli, Reina will collaborate closely with Joe Mongognia (CCO, Leo New York) and Renato Fernandez (CCO, Leo Chicago & Publicis Creative US) to guide the development of culturally resonant, bold creative work across all touchpoints.
The announcement follows a string of creative leadership hires, including Dean Paradise and Adriano Matos, who join Leo Chicago as Executive Creative Directors. Paradise arrives from GUT Miami with over 100 international awards, while Matos returns to Leo after his most recent role as Global ECD at Ogilvy, with 47 Cannes Lions wins across 18 categories.
