Jennifer Sheridan joins Common People Films for commercial representation
BAFTA-winning director brings her fearless, funny, and emotionally sharp storytelling to the UK roster.
Acclaimed comedy and drama director Jennifer Sheridan has joined Common People Films for UK commercial representation, following their recent successful collaboration on a high-profile national cinema campaign for BAFTA, celebrating the art of storytelling through video games.
A dynamic and genre-fluid filmmaker, Sheridan is celebrated for her distinctive ability to blend humour with emotional depth and high-concept storytelling. She first caught the attention of Common People with her sharp direction on the hit Disney+/Hulu series Extraordinary, helming both critically acclaimed seasons. The superhero comedy, praised for its character-driven wit and fast-paced tone, boasts a 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating and has earned accolades including a BAFTA nomination for Best Scripted Comedy, a Broadcast Digital Award, and a Royal Television Society Award.
Sheridan’s debut feature film Rose: A Love Story premiered at the BFI London Film Festival, landed four BIFA longlist nominations, and won Best Feature at the Barnes Film Festival, cementing her status as one of British cinema’s boldest rising voices. Her recent TV credits include Malpractice (ITV/World Productions), with Season two now completed
Commercially, Sheridan brings a keen directorial eye and a deft comedic touch to branded content. She has directed standout spots for LinkedIn, Sky, Haig Club, and most recently, BAFTA.
