In support of World Down Syndrome Day, Revolver Films director Kelsey Larkin presents this touching short film titled Heroes, which celebrates the quiet bravery and kindness of children.

Through intimate, beautifully shot vignettes, the film follows the bond between the director’s friend, Jon Roth, and his son, Kai. A heartfelt narration from father to son reflects on how children often see their parents as superheroes, but it's the parents who are most inspired by their child’s resilience and innocent view of the world.

Larkin added: "This film grew around a simple video of my dear friend Jon Roth receiving his new Jiu Jitsu belt while his amazing and curious son, Kai watched on in awe - and it got me thinking about the concept of heroes, and how children see their parents as superheroes who can take on the world. In reality, there are millions of children in the world who are actual heroes without knowing it; the ones we look up to; the ones who have shown unrelenting bravery and thrived in situations most of us couldn’t even imagine taking on."
