Following on from his appearance in last summer’s story of Obsession, which followed Colonel Sander's overwrought quest to perfect his secret recipe, Matheson stars in a new spot for KFC Canada, promoting a time-limited menu.
Directed by Henry Scholfield, through Spy Films, and created by Toronto agency, Courage, this new cinematic film opens on a tense card game – is there fowl play afoot between Matheson and the Colonel?
Turns out, that Matty has won fair and square and gleefully gets the keys to his own KFC restaurant, where he can serve up four new dishes – including a poutine-inspired bowl blending fries, cheese curds and gravy – that draws on the actor's Canadian comfort food roots.
The dishes come in custom packaging designed by Toronto tattoo artist Alex Snelgrove, who’s also worked on Matheson’s ink.
