Beautifully directed by through new–land, this utterly sublime and handcrafted film, titled Hara and the Hare, for perfume brand Ffern tells a whimsical tale set on the North Yorkshire Moors.
The spot transports us between the misty, heather-covered marshes and a classical library as the protagonist, played by American actress Havana Rose Liu, searches the night sky for the missing moon.
Thoughtful practical production design and sumptuous period styling bring the film to life, including British artist Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon installation and costumes by award-winning designer Grace Snell.
Narrated by Liu in a fairy-tale style, the film was released on the autumn equinox to launch Ffern’s autumn fragrance.
