Do you know how to smooch? Yeah, yeah, most people are familiar with locking lips, but have you ever actually been taught how to kiss correctly? Well, if this new film from Blink Industries is anything to go by, no… no you haven’t.
From the delightfully oddball brain of Chris (Simpsons artist), working with animation director Mike Greaney, im glad i know that now thank you. is “a serious educational documentary short form series that is completely serious and completely educational”.
Kicking off, aptly, as Valentine’s Day approaches with Kissing, the series sees British comedian, presenter and painter Joe Lycett guide viewers through seemingly standard topics, albeit given an unsettling and hilarious surreal twist.
Unsurprisingly, considering it comes from the stable of independently produced, creator-led projects like Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, the output blends truly original satire, surrealism and inventive storytelling into something that feels funny and strangely profound.
