Following on from Raman Djafari's totally bonkers video Worms, Blinkink has continued its creative partnership with pop star Ashnikko in a similarly peculiar promo.
Directed by Léa Esmaili, Trinkets sees the artist embody a cast of eccentric alter-egos - buck-toothed girl, raven girl, and city girl - in a surreal mix of live-action, stop-motion, and CG.
With Renee Zhan brought into the fold to lead a team of animators, alongside some gorgeous styling and production design, the film's collaborative spirit and delightfully on-point offbeat tone makes for a hugely enjoyable and eye-catching watch.
"I would say working on this project is like someone saying yes to all your craziest ideas," explains Esmaili. "It's the best of both worlds between Ash and me and it feels so refreshing to have this freedom with such big artists like her. Every sequence is an absurd and silk moment!! It's one of my favourite works ever....”
