After confronting the relatable dilemmas of the First School Poo and First Office Poo, Andrex is setting its sights on an underdiscussed byproduct of childbirth - The Labour Poo.
Agency FCB London, working in partnership with The Positive Birth Company, whose expert guidance helped shape the campaign, Push Like You’re Pooing gives the concern a playfully humorous angle, pointing out that it is a natural fact of life and, as midwives and doctors note, often a sign that someone is pushing effectively.
With Somesuch's King She at the helm, the film captures some delightful performances and clever framing to create a montage that is as relatable as it is raucous; the authenticity continues with documentary-style talking heads giving real-life examples and post-birth reflections from women whose attitudes changed once the taboo was busted.
