Wendy’s is now Tendy’s
To signal the launch of Wendy's new chicken tenders, the brand changed something about themselves… their name.
Introducing Tendy's. This creative campaign, created by Wendy’s and VML, rebrands the iconic QSR chain, solidifying that Wendy's has chicken tenders so good, you’ll know them on a first name basis.
Wendy’s started by changing their name across social and digital channels and parodying the logo rebrand trend with a Tendy’s logo reveal post across social channels. The post ended up being Wendy’s highest performing TikTok of the year so far.
In addition, Wendy’s partnered with stand-up comedian and content creator Connor Wood (@fibula) to bring the Tendy's rebrand to life, and he even performed an exclusive comedy set at the Tendy's grand opening November 5. The Tendy’s launch event brought together a mix of creators and influencers to get a taste of Wendy’s chicken tenders, line-up of six new sauces, brand swag, and of course, a Tendy-fied restaurant takeover (hello chicken tender lamps!)

Shortly after launch, Wendy’s Tendys captured hearts (and stomachs) of consumers nationwide, with some restaurants seeing such high consumer demand and enthusiasm, Tendys sold out!
Lindsay Radkoski, Chief Marketing Officer, Wendy’s: "We’re excited about the next step in our chicken journey with the new Wendy’s Tendys and lineup of six new sauces. Consumers told us what they wanted in a chicken tender, and we listened - taste-tested, fine-tuned and delivered. Crispy, juicy and full of flavor – so good our fans will know them on a first-name basis."
Alli Pearce, Chief Creative Officer, VML: “With lots of competition in the chicken space, we knew we had to deliver something only Wendy’s could, Tendy’s. Going full Tendy’s mode was a way to signal that this wasn’t just another product launch. It’s the beginning of the new chicken era at Wendy’s.”
