Doma has welcomed editor Ned Champain to its roster.

Champain works across sports, documentary and branded content, bringing sharp instinct for rhythm, tone and character. His portfolio includes projects for Nike, Red Bull, the FA and Barbour, and is defined by confident pacing and a tactile approach to image and sound.

Rhythm sits at the centre of his process. “Most of the time I am editing to no music so I am always thinking about sound and how it will guide the flow,” he says. “My wife always says she hears me making sound effects while I edit. That is normal right?”

He also draws on a sensitivity to tone and brand personality. “You start to understand their character after a while,” he explains. “Shot selection pacing and visual style all have to feel like them. I am learning how to bring my style into their world.”

For Champain the Red Bull Snap On film remains one of the clearest expressions of his voice. “Working with multiple formats and creating sequences that feel tactile focusing on textures and movement is something I naturally lean toward.”

Jake Evans co founder of DOMA adds: “We have had our eye on Ned for a long time. His work feels instinctive confident and full of character which is exactly what we look for. He brings a clear creative voice and we are very happy to have him join the roster.”
