The third edition of the Videoclip Italia Awards took place in Rome on Sunday, 2 June 2024, celebrating the art and industry of music videos.

The event, held at Largo Venue, brought together industry professionals for an afternoon of networking and discussions on the current and future landscape of their profession. The panels featured experts such as Chiara Bonarrigo (Music & Talent Partnership Lead Italy, Vevo) and Federico Farcomeni (Head of Video - Label & Artist Solutions, Believe).

The ceremony honoured the creativity of directors including Tommaso Ottomano, Marco Pacchiana, and international sensation Torso. Noteworthy animation works by Erika De Nicola for Thatsup, Solenn LeMarchand for her band Grimoon, and Marco Brancato for Leo Pari were also celebrated, alongside winners in the 22 categories.

Artists Måneskin, Mahmood, and Grimoon were highlighted for their significant investment in the music video medium, while production house Borotalco reaffirmed its industry leadership.

Artistic directors Alessio Rosa and Nicola Marceddu remarked, “This third edition concludes with great enthusiasm: an overwhelming number of participation requests, guests from across Italy, and the joy of seeing our awards serve as both a meeting point and a discovery platform for new talents. While Tommaso Ottomano has won the Director of the Year award for the second time, we are equally proud to see the international jury recognise Marco Pacchiana, Nicolò Bassetto, and Enrico Bellenghi (Director of the Year Under 25, Best Low-Budget Video, and Best Electronic Video, respectively) and all the other emerging winners.”

The next edition will open for submissions in early 2025, featuring this year’s music videos. As always, the event will include a constructive reflection on the challenges facing the industry, especially in Italy, as discussed in the night's debates. These challenges, fortunately, serve as a constant impetus to monitor and optimise the production dynamics of this medium.

The Videoclip Italia Awards is supported by FIMI - Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana and Anica, with Trans Audio Video as the Main Sponsor, alongside Sony, Hollyland, Atomos, Kodak, and Panalight. Media partners include Billboard Italia, Rockol, Vevo, Promonews and Directors Library.
