Underhill has officially signed director Chris Grosso to its roster, adding a sharp, original voice known for blending humour, food, and real people storytelling into a style that’s equal parts irreverent and insightful.

With a body of work that spans cult television, standout branded campaigns, and everything in between, Grosso’s creative sensibility brings a singular energy to the commercial space.

Best known as the founder of Munchies, and director/creator of F*ck, That’s Delicious featuring Action Bronson, Grosso has built a career on stories that feel unfiltered and deeply human. His commercial work, with clients like Oatly, Ragú, Nike SB, Walmart, and Gozney, continues in that spirit, balancing unique visual direction with a deep curiosity for people and their passions.

“I would hope that people see my work as humorous, informative, and a bit mischievous,” says Grosso. “I want to make work that exposes people to interesting stories, in an aesthetic that is most fitting to the subject.” His ability to adapt his visual style to the subject matter gives his work a distinctive and intuitive feel.

That subject-driven approach defines Grosso’s process. Whether he’s shooting in a professional kitchen, a skatepark, or someone’s backyard, the tone and visual language evolve from the story being told. “I’m most inspired by people who are dedicated to a single pursuit, because I can find virtue in almost any subject,” he explains.

“I’ve admired both Chris and his work since I first met him in 2014. He truly brings such a refreshing energy to the commercial space, from creative ideation through production and post, Chris finds a way to make every moment fun, thoughtful and impactful.” adds Matt Seger, Underhill Co-Founder.

“Chris comes from a non-traditional background for a commercial director. His deep experience with long-form and series-based production in the comedy and food space lend a unique perspective and eye to his work in the commercial space” said Alex Max, EP at Underhill

With his addition to Underhill’s roster, Grosso joins a team committed to work that blends creative risk with real-world impact, bringing a fresh perspective that complements Underhill’s growing roster of directors.
