Step into the ring for The Greatest
6DEGREES Films and director Flint Tanquary step into the ring for Amazon MGM's The Greatest. Narrated by series EP Michael B. Jordan, the VFX-driven spot brings the legend and the man of Muhammad Ali into the same frame.
6DEGREES Films has produced the promotional spot for The Greatest, Amazon MGM Studios' limited series on the life of Muhammad Ali for Prime Video.
Directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Flint Tanquary (represented by London Alley), the spot is a dramatic, emotional look at a man who was larger than life long before the world agreed.
Tanquary developed the concept with Chase Watkins of Unlimited Range, aiming to put the audience inside the legend rather than replay it. At its center is Jaalen Best, whose commanding turn as Ali carries the spot from the roar of the arena to the quieter training moments behind it, with striking visual effects bridging Ali the icon and Ali the man.

"I met with Chase at a coffee shop over a year ago, where he initially told me about this Amazon Prime show about Muhammad Ali that they were developing, and he was wondering if I had any interest in being involved. I knew I would be a fool if I didn’t try to shoot my shot. A week later, I was on a flight, and that’s when I came up with this concept of bringing Ali’s iconic butterflies and bees to life in a way that we’ve never seen before. I pitched it to Chase, and he was all for it. It took a year for this idea to come to life, it was a long journey, but it was a true labor of love." adds Tanquary.
