The Terry Fox Foundation’s campaign film, Finish It, directed by Mark Zibert, through Scouts Honour, is a powerful tribute to Terry Fox’s legacy, captured through a ‘one shot’ technique that transforms his solitary journey into a story of national unity.

In 1980, after losing his right leg to cancer, Terry Fox set out on his Marathon of Hope — a cross-Canada run to raise funds and awareness for cancer research. Though his journey was cut short after 143 days and over 5,300 kilometers, his determination sparked a movement that continues to inspire generations.

Though he eventually died of cancer aged just 23, The Terry Fox Run lives on as an annual non-competitive event held around the world to raise money for cancer research.

Para-athlete Adam Popp dedicated himself to the role of Fox, training to match his gait while wearing a replica of his prosthetic. Filmed on a rural road outside Toronto with hundreds of extras, the project reflects the collective strength and determination of Canadians to carry Terry’s mission forward—proving that his journey was never his alone.

Set to a moving a cappella rendition of Courage by The Tragically Hip, the film underscores the perseverance and unity at the heart of Terry Fox's story.
