Production company Dress Code is thrilled to announce the signing of Talya Galasko to its roster for North American representation.

Known for her meticulous eye for detail and narrative-driven approach, Galasko's work spans gripping commercials and award-winning short films.

Blurring the thin line between comedy and darkness, Galasko’s commercial work includes beautifully-shot ads for Milliways, Superbalist, and Azo. Her short films Voicenote and Interlude both received Vimeo Staff Picks, with Voicenote leading to her recognition as one of the platform’s breakout creators of the year. Tackling themes of anxiety with a deftly comedic and human touch, it leaves a lasting impact on viewers.

Galasko’s work defies easy categorisation. The unifying thread is her detailed and thought-out approach to storytelling, which pairs stylised art direction and set builds with rich and complex characters to create an immersive world. Her background as a writer equips with having a comprehensive and holistic perspective in crafting compelling narratives that elicit strong performances, enhanced by her set designs.

Now at Dress Code, Galasko will build on her existing work in the commercial space, and use her unique experience working across South Africa, the US, and the UK to continue expanding the company’s production footprint on a global scale.

Galasko comments, “There’s so much personality at Dress Code, and that’s something I’m always drawn to in a production company. They have character, quality, and a roster of directors I admire and feel proud to be listed amongst. I’m looking forward to new commercial opportunities, naturally, but also towards the budding relationship that’s developing with the Dress Code team in the background.”

Leah Dorfman, Executive Producer at Dress Code, adds, “Bringing Galasko onto the roster contributes to our pursuit in expanding our creative offerings with different points of view that are grounded in visual artistry, story and craft. We’re excited for Galasko to join the team as her unique sensibilities with storytelling and design adds something newly distinctive to our roster while also building upon the foundation that’s already there.”
