Cristina Reina heads to Droga5
Droga5, part of Accenture Song, appoints Cristina Reina as Chief Creative Experience Officer of New York and the Americas.
Agency Droga5, part of Accenture Song, continues to bolster its creative leadership team with the appointment of Cristina Reina as Chief Creative Experience Officer of New York and the Americas.
Reina steps into a newly created role focused on innovating clients’ engagement with consumers across all platforms and touch-points. She will report to the recently announced New York and Americas Chief Creative Officer Rafael Rizuto. Together, they bring a double shot of top-tier creative leadership to the agency’s ranks.
Reina will be based in New York and will begin at the agency in January 2026. Along with Rizuto, Reina will work to revitalise the New York office and maximise the creative output and impact of the teams across the Americas, bolstered by the talents, technology and tools of the broader Accenture Song network.
Reina has a proven track record of breakthrough brand building and creative solutions for marketers grappling with the challenges of the modern media landscape. She joins Droga5 from Leo U.S., where, as Chief Experience Officer, she was responsible for elevating creative excellence across the agency’s Chicago and New York offices. Prior to that, she was partner and chief creative officer at Quality Experience, the independent agency founded by the late creative veteran and former DDB Global CCO Ari Weiss.
Reina also previously served as EVP, Global Executive Creative Director and Head of Art at McCann North America, where she led the celebrated ADLaM campaign for Microsoft, which earned both Design and Business Transformation Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions and was recognised as one of Fast Company's World Changing Ideas. Other notable projects include the Broadway production that hijacked the Super Bowl, Skittles Commercial: The Broadway Musical, which brought the candy brand literally to a new stage on advertising’s biggest night of the year.
She has also been a new business ace throughout her career, pitching and winning accounts such as Kroger for DDB NY, and the Smirnoff global business for McCann New York. Most recently, her leadership contributed to Publicis Groupe/Leo wins across Nespresso global business, Papa John’s, Coffee mate and Haleon. Her oeuvre spans the spectrum of categories and brands, with campaigns for Microsoft, Tonal, Converse, Volkswagen, State Farm, MillerCoors, Kroger, New York Lottery, Tribeca Film Festival, Verizon, MGM and more.
Reina has been recognised as one of the top 10 Creative Directors globally by the Cannes Lions Top Talent Report, named to Adweek’s Creative 100, honored by Campaign US as an Inspiring Woman in Conquering Creativity, and ranked the #1 most awarded Executive Creative Director by The One Show. Her work has earned hundreds of awards across Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, Effies, Clios, and other top industry festivals.
Reina said: “I’ve always admired Droga5 for its history of bold ideas that drive business and culture. Joining now feels especially meaningful. This is a moment where creativity and AI are rewriting what brands can do, and what people expect from them. Brands today need ideas people genuinely want in their lives–ideas that also solve real problems and propel their business forward. The most powerful of those will sit at the intersection of experience, technology, and craft. That’s exactly the future I’m excited to build at Droga5.”
Mark Green, Global Chief Executive Officer, Droga5: “Cristina is an incredible thinker, doer and master of craft who levels up any piece of work she touches–at the same time carving out fresh spaces for brands to play. She’s a quiet force who brings maximum impact, and she’ll be crucial to strengthening New York and our team across the Americas. She’s exactly the kind of leader we need as we continue to evolve Droga5 into its next chapter of being a modern agency for modern brands.”
Rizuto added: “Cristina represents everything I love about this business, pure craft, big heart and a relentless drive to make things that move people. Experiences and design are shaping so much of what we do today, and Cristina’s vision will help us push that even further. I’ve admired her work for years, and I couldn’t be more excited to have her by my side as we shape what’s next for Droga5 across the Americas.”
