Shell sells us the story of Souad

The desert can be a hostile environment, but at times, it also becomes the stage for powerful, beautiful stories.

This film tells one of them: the story of Souad Mouktadiri, the first Moroccan woman to compete in the Dakar Rally.

The Next Click agency and the brand Shell, Mouktadiri’s sponsor, wanted to pay tribute to her through a film that captures her journey.

Director Alexandre Lucain was entrusted with the project. He chose to tell the story of Mouktadiri’s deep, almost visceral connection with the desert. Blending poetry, emotion, and adrenaline, the film is both a portrait of a trailblazing woman and a tribute to the desert and its people. It takes us into the heart of a relentless race, that of a woman pushing every limit.
