Schröroom unveils the dark side of beauty

The Dark Side of Beauty, produced by MYTHSMYTH and written and directed by Marie Lanna, is about elevating the female realities that often go unspoken in the beauty and fashion industries. It allows the viewer to see beyond the surface and glimpse these real characters.

The 35-second hero trailer and six additional spots blend fashion and filmmaking into a space that exists between both, accompanied by Act Of God a track from indie rock band Gossip.

Director Marie Lanna's said: "This project is both a cinematic and photographic study of what it means to exist within beauty’s gaze beyond the click, the strength, the contradictions, the vulnerability. It’s about stepping into possible female stories that are often left in the shadows, giving them form, voice, and presence, while allowing the viewer space for their own interpretation."
