As Santa opens notes from children, he calls up their parents and lets them know exactly what their kids have sent him in their letters.
He’s pretty tech-savvy for a man who’s spent about a millennium hand-delivering presents across the globe. From dollhouses to wrenches, every letter is conveyed via text, videochat, or email, all thanks to Cosmote. As he gives instructions, the clueless parents all eventually give their kids the perfect gifts...with the exception of one little girl who catches her father in the act of placing gifts under the tree, yelling with a heartbroken “I knew it!” even as Santa himself is on speakerphone.
Santa's Not Coming is joyful and lovingly cinematic, even as Santa himself can’t escape the horror of the zoom call. The piece was developed by Ogilvy & Mather Athens and directed by Vasilis Bourantas of Foss Productions.
