Despite the technological landscape changing quicker than Taylor Swift at one of her concerts, it seems we've grown pretty tired of 'AI-generated' footage and the generic films that have been cobbled together with it.
That is, unless there's a dose of wit involved.
Utilising the technical wizardry they've applied to brands over the years and funnelling it into shameless (and hilarious) self-promotion, Private Island's Another Day In Paradise is a fever-dream journey through Gen AI output; mashing together photorealism, surrealist imagery and the type of body-horror only machines can conjure.
Written and directed by (and starring, kinda) Chris Boyle, alongside producer Helen Power, the film's engaging aspect isn't the clever visuals or the cutting edge results, but the witty construction and offbeat tone that ties them all together.
